Rain Spreading Farther Up the Plains Thursday
A Texas low spreads relief rains into drought-stricken Kansas and Nebraska through Thursday.
An upper-level low-pressure system spinning around Texas is producing areas of showers and thunderstorms from southeast Colorado to Louisiana Wednesday afternoon. Those showers should fill in a bit more as the day wears on, spreading northward into more of drought-stricken Kansas and western Nebraska for Thursday. In addition, a diffuse frontal zone remains active across the Southeast, Ohio Valley, and Mid-Atlantic on Wednesday, with showers being driven south of the Ohio River for Thursday. Another system in the Pacific Northwest will continue to produce showers there northeast into the Canadian Prairies for the rest of Wednesday and Thursday as well.
