Periodic Updates on the Futures Markets
OMAHA (DTN) — January canola is up 8.40 per metric ton (mt), December soybean oil is up .94 cents per pound, European February rapeseed is up 4.00 euros mt and December Malaysian palm oil is up 1.20%. December oats are up 5 3/4 cents per bushel. December crude oil is up 1.68 per barrel and the Canadian dollar is up .0004 at .7197. Canola is strong again Wednesday morning along with the other vegetable oil markets. Strength in crude oil is helping with the gaps lower during Sunday evenings’ open for both December crude oil and soybean oil now very close to being filled. Oats appear to be breaking up out of recent consolidation on tight supplies.
