Heavy Rain Pushing East This Week

A storm system continues to move through the Plains on Friday afternoon. Areas of showers and thunderstorms extend from the Great Lakes back into the Central Plains while a band of snow is found behind the system from Colorado into South Dakota. The system will continue to produce widespread precipitation as it continues eastward on Saturday, including some areas of severe weather and flooding. The front to the system will likely stall out across the Deep South where periods of showers and a few thunderstorms will continue into early next week.
