Group 3 Jet Fuel Basis Jumps Near 2-Mo High

DAVENPORT, FL (DTN) – Group 3 Jet Fuel basis jumped Wednesday (1/14) above February NYMEX ULSD futures, reaching at its strongest level in nearly two months.

The product’s basis strengthened by 10cts on the day, after a trade was confirmed at a 13ct discount to February futures, the strongest level reported since November 26, 2025.

The uptick in Group 3 jet fuel basis was not reflected across the broader Midwest, as Chicago jet fuel values held steady at a 28cts discount to February NYMEX ULSD futures, signaling that strength remained localized rather than regionwide.
