Temperatures Rising Tuesday

Warmer air pushes east, and a clipper system may bring some isolated showers to the Midwest.

It is cold and snowy across the Midwest Monday afternoon. But warm air is leaking over the Rockies and flowing into the High Plains. That warmer air will continue to spread eastward on Tuesday, pushing showers to the Northeast. It will take until Wednesday to get into the eastern Great Lakes. A clipper moving through Canada may bring some isolated showers to the Midwest with the warmer air on Tuesday as well.
