Cold Weekend Ahead, Heavy Snow in Carolinas

A clipper system is moving into the Southeast on Friday afternoon. Precipitation will increase as the system bombs out off the Carolina Coast tonight and Saturday. That will lead to heavy snow amounts in and around the Carolinas. Meanwhile, the system is pulling down one last round of significant cold air for the weekend. A clipper system will move through the Northern Plains with a wave of higher temperatures for next week, especially across the Central U.S.
