Extremely Cold Temperatures for Upper Midwest Thursday
Snow showers for Great Lakes, High Plains. Widespread temperatures below zero across the Upper Midwest.
A strong cold front continues to push south through the country Wednesday afternoon. Very little precipitation is occurring along it, but there are some snow showers moving through the Great Lakes as well as up against the Rocky Mountains in the central High Plains. The front will continue to sag southward for Thursday, with precipitation increasing toward the Gulf of America. Extremely cold air is flowing in behind the front, which will lead to widespread temperatures below zero across the Upper Midwest for Thursday morning.
