First Phase of Storm Building Heavy Snow for the North Into Wednesday

A strong storm system is moving out of the West and into the Plains on Tuesday afternoon. Winds are increasing and are quite dangerous, leading to some blowing dust and an increased risk for wildfires through this evening. Heavy snow is falling over Alberta and will fill in across the rest of the Canadian Prairies into the Northern Plains tonight. The heaviest snows will end Wednesday evening but may extend all the way into the Northeast. The next storm is right on its heels, moving through California on Tuesday and through the Interior West for Wednesday.
