More Severe Storms Pushing Into Midwest Wednesday

Low-pressure system threatens severe storms from Manitoba to Texas, with all hazards possible Tuesday–Wednesday.

A wave of scattered showers continues to push east through the Midwest Tuesday afternoon a few of those could end up becoming severe or producing some heavy rain. The more important feature is a low-pressure center moving into the Northern Plains. This will produce areas of strong-to-severe thunderstorms from southern Manitoba down through at least Nebraska this afternoon and evening. Some extension farther south into the Texas Panhandle appears likely as well. All hazards are on the table including hurricane-force winds. The low-pressure center will move into the Midwest on Wednesday where we should see a repeat of very strong-to-severe storms again with all hazards on the table.
