SC Farm Report on Wednesday
SC Livestock auctions will be closed for the holidays. Auctions will
open after the new year.
Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 44 cents lower at 52.70.
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 53.80; 450-500 lbs 58.23; 500-550 lbs 64.12.
SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn was steady; elevator bids 4.00-5.15,
processor bids 4.70-5.25. Soybeans were 16 cents lower; elevator bids
8.90-10.35, processor bids n/a, and export 10.67. Wheat bids were steady
to 4 cents lower; elevator bids 4.67.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was not
available.
