SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,577 lbs at 230.86 heifers 1,369 lbs at 230.62. Dressed
delivered steers 1024 lbs at 358.54, heifers 890 lbs at 359.00. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 6.93 higher at
379.06
and Select 5.85 higher at 360.32.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average compared
to last week, Early weaned pigs are mostly 2.00 to 4.00 higher and feeder pigs
are mostly 1.00 higher. Trading moderate to active with mostly moderate demand
and mostly moderate to heavy offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 67.93;
40 lbs cash basis 80.53.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was n/a.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 95.70 450-499 lbs 71.45, and 500-549 lbs
74.55.
SC Grain on Monday: corn bids were mostly 3 cents higher; elevator bids
4.09-5.14, processor bid 4.74-5.14. Soybean bids were 20 to 54 cents higher;
elevator bids 9.94-11.24, export bid 11.49. Wheat bids were 3 to 9
cents higher; elevator bids 4.83.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 14 cents higher
at 63.68.
