SC Farm Report on Thursday
Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no
comparisons made due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 428.00-455.00, 500-600 lbs 405.00-425.00. Feeder
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 390.00, 500-600 lbs 370.00.
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 440.00-465.00, 500-600 lbs
380.00-390.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 160.00-185.00; Boners
80-85% lean 161.00-194.00; Lean 85-90% lean 155.00-170.00; Lean Low
Dressing 75.00-157.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 205.00-212.00,
High Dressing 227.00, low dressing 175.00-181.00.
Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1235-1280 lbs Young to Middle Aged
Cows with Calves 150-300 lbs 2800.00-3900.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2
875 lbs Middle Aged Cow with Calf 150-300 lbs 2950.00 per pair. Medium
and Large 2 965 lbs Aged Cow with Calf over 300 lbs 2550.00 per pair.
Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-320 lbs weighted average live price
was not reported and carcass basis price was 2.10 higher at 100.66. Sows
live price 300-450 lbs 46.21; 450-500 lbs 52.18; 500-550 lbs 56.02.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn bids were 5 to 6 cents lower, New crop bids
were 5 to 6 cents lower; new crop elevator bids 4.51-5.19, current
processor bids 4.81-5.56, new crop processor bids 5.29-5.59. New crop
soybean bids 6 to 7 cents lower; new crop export 12.20-12.45. Wheat bids
were 3 cents lower,current elevator bids 7.25, current processor bid
5.17.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.87
lower at 74.44.
