SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice.  Live FOB
steers 1,534 lbs at 256.53, heifers 1,359 lbs at 256.38. Dressed 
delivered steers 995 lbs at 404.66, heifers 886 lbs at 405.06. 
Weekly boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 
393.62, up 77 cents, and Select 383.61, down 3.48.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs are 5.00 lower and feeder pigs are steady. Trading moderate, 
with light to moderate demand and moderate to heavy offerings. Feeder 
pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 65.93; 40 lbs cash basis 96.76. Hogs on Friday. 
Plant delivered weighted average. National direct Barrows & Gilts US 1 
50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was not reported. Sows live price 300-
449 lbs 61.61, 450-499 lbs 64.60, and 500-549 lbs 69.05.
  SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were 1 cent higher, new crop bids 1 cent 
lower to 1 cent higher; current elevator bids 4.99, new crop elevator 
bids 4.38-5.46, current processor bids 5.04-5.39, new crop processor bids 
4.68-5.41. Soybean bids were 6 cents lower, new crop bids 2 cents lower; 
current elevator bids 10.96, new crop elevator bids 11.01, and new crop 
export 11.61-11.65. Wheat bids were 1 to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 
4.79-7.08, and processors 4.59-7.33.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 36 cents   
lower at 70.89.
