SC Farm Report on Thursday   
  
    Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no 
comparisons made due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported, 500-600 lbs 422.00-422.50. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 430.00, 500-600 lbs 399.00. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 500.00, 500-600 lbs 380.00. 
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 161.00-197.50; Boners 80-85% lean 
161.00-184.00; Lean 85-90% lean 133-150.00; Lean Low Dressing 110.00-
125.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 194.00, High Dressing 239.00, 
low dressing 147.50. 
  Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1200 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cow  
with Calf under 150 lbs 3500.00 per pair. Medium and Large 1 1375-1425 
lbs Middle Aged Cows with Calves over 300 lbs 4000.00-4250.00 per pair. 
Medium and Large 2 825 lbs Young Aged Cow with Calf 150-300 lbs 2475.00 
per pair.  
  Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-320 lbs carcass price was 94.64. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 62.98; 450-500 lbs 71.92; 500-550 lbs 73.22.
  SC Grain on Thursday. Corn bids were mostly 3 to 4 cents higher, one 
location 13 cents higher; New crop bids were 4 to 5 cents higher; current 
elevator bids 5.36, new crop elevator bids 4.74-5.82, current processor 
bids 5.41-5.66, new crop processor bids 5.04-5.77. Soybean bids were 9 
cents higher, New crop bids 13 cents higher; current elevator bids 11.74, 
new crop elevator bids 11.59, processor bids n/a, and new crop export 
12.19-12.22. Wheat bids were 2 to 3 cents higher; current elevator bids 
5.84, current processor bid 4.96.
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 61 
cents lower at 74.27.
