SC Farm Report on Thursday   
  
    Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week no 
comparisons made due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 480.00, 500-600 lbs 420.00. Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported, 500-600 lbs None reported. 
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported, 500-600 lbs 
420.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 164.00-181.00; Boners 80-85% 
lean 150.00-185.00; Lean 85-90% lean 135.00-165.00; Lean Low Dressing 
117.50-147.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 179.00-210.00, High 
Dressing none reported, low dressing 158.00-174.00. 
  Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1240-1370 lbs Middle Aged Cows with

  Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-320 lbs live price was 3.37 lower at 
68.78. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 50.13; 450-500 lbs 56.42; 500-550 lbs 
58.55.
  SC Grain on Thursday. Corn bids were 2 cents lower, New crop bids 
3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids 5.30, processor bids 5.50-5.75. 
Soybean bids were steady to 1 cent lower, New crop bids 2 cents higher; 
elevator bids 11.47, processor bids n/a, and export 11.97. Wheat bids 
were 1 to 19 cents lower, New crop bids were 16 cents lower; elevator 
bids 5.84.
   Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 3.00 
higher at 80.20.
