SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 400-
500 lbs 477.50-550.00, 500-600 lbs 410.00-470.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1 400-500 lbs 460.00-530.00, 500-600 lbs 415.00-460.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 430.00-485.00, 500-600 lbs 
370.00-420.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 160.00-180.00; Boners 
80%-85% lean 159.00-184.00; Lean 85-90% lean 144.00-164.00; Lean low 
dressing 107.50-155.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 185.00-210.00; 
High Dressing 211.00-217.00; Low Dressing 172.00-185.00.  
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1215-1560 lbs Middle Aged 
Cows with Calves under 300 lbs 3525.00-4150.00 per pair. Medium and Large 
1 1170 lbs Middle Aged Cow with Calf over 300 lbs 4850.00 per pair. 
Medium and Large 2 805-1045 lbs Young to Middle Aged Cows with Calves 
under 300 lbs 2450.00-3150.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 925-940 lbs

pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs weighted average live price 
was 70.74. Carcass basis prices 18 cents lower at 90.24. Sows live price 
300-450 lbs 49.06; 450-500 lbs 55.22; 500-550 lbs 60.51.
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn bids were 4 to 9 cents higher, new crop bids 
6 to 7 cents higher; elevator bids 5.30, processor bids 5.50-5.75. 
Soybean bids were 4 cents lower; new crop bids 1 to 2 cents higher; 
elevator bids 11.38, and export 11.88. Wheat bids were 4 to 28 cents 
higher; elevator bids 6.09, and processors 5.15.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 9 cents 
higher at 77.67.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
