SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   SC Livestock Auctions: No comparisons made due to limited comparable 
sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 500-550 lbs 440.00. Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-450 lbs 460.00; 550-600 lbs 360.00; 600-
650 lbs 345.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 350-400 lbs 500.00, 550-
600 lbs 415.00, 600-650 lbs 405.00-420.00. Slaughter cows: Boners 80-85% 
lean 159.00-172.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 182.50-201.00, Low 
Dressing 170.00-179.00.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-320 lbs was 71.70. Sows live price 
300-450 lbs 71.55; 450-500 lbs 82.63; 500-550 lbs 79.78.
   SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn bids were 2 to 3 cents lower, New crop 
bids were 1 to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 5.06, processor bids 5.33. 
Soybean bids were 1 to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 11.14, processor bids 
n/a, and export 11.89. Wheat bids were 2 to 6 cents lower; elevator bids 
5.26, and processor bids 4.94-7.16.
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 12 
cent higher at 63.16.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State 
Farmers Market on Wednesday. Beets 25 lb flmbgs Red type topped 15.00,
