SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,581 lbs at 231.68 heifers 1,372 lbs at 231.70. Dressed
delivered steers 1030 lbs at 359.86, heifers 933 lbs at 359.91. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 7.38 lower at 348.74
and Select 2.94 lower at 344.52.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average compared
to last week, Early weaned pigs are mostly 5.00 higher and feeder pigs
are mostly 3.00 higher. Trading slow to moderate, with moderate to good demand
and light to moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 77.20;
40 lbs cash basis 96.08.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs live price was n/a.
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 61.95 450-499 lbs 50.93, and 500-549 lbs
60.00.
SC Grain on Monday: corn bids were 7 cents higher; elevator bids
4.04-5.19, processor bid 4.74-5.29. Soybean bids were 16 to 18 cents higher;
elevator bids 9.27-10.07, export bid 10.82. Wheat bids were 6 to 7
cents higher; elevator bid 4.72.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 64 cents higher
at 62.90.
