Compared to last week: Feeder steers 10.00-15.00 higher. Feeder heifers
15.00-30.00 higher. Quality average. Steer calves 5.00-15.00 higher. Heifer
calves over 450lbs steady to 5.00 lower, under 450lbs 15.00-20.00 higher.
Demand good. Calf quality average. CME Feeder Cattle Futures traded dollars
higher Monday and Tuesday on news that the south boarder will not open anytime
soon. Farmers who have finished planting wheat were active in the market on
Tuesday, aggressively bidding on lightweight calves, both weaned and unweaned.
Fall-like temperatures are forecasted for the rest of the week.
