Compared to last week: Feeder cattle and calves not well tested in early
rounds but indications of higher is evident. Demand is good. Early quality
average to attractive with several light fleshed cattle included. Cattle
futures are on the rise this morning as the never ending reality of limited
supplies still looms. March winds blew strong yesterday bringing back numerous
fires across the state. Temperatures also dropped, reminding us winter is not
done yet. Summer like weather will be here later in the week and highs
expected in the mid 90's. Rain is not in the forecast till the end of March.
