Compared to last week: There was more enthusiasm evident with buyers this week
following the gains made back on the board. Though comparable sales were few,
largely due to a shorter run last week, There was alot of positivity toward
steer calves. Most 200 and 300 pound calves brought well over 5.00 and some
broke the 6.00 mark and 700-800 pounders brought 9.00-10.00 higher. There were
few comparable sales on heifers to determine a trend but a higher sentiment was
noted. Slaughter cattle yielding average to high was steady to 5.00 lower,
largely due to quality. Trade was active. * Just a reminder, next week's sale
will be the final sale of the year. *
