Compared to last week: There were too few comparable sales on most classes to
set a trend but a higher undertone was noted. However, feeder steers weighing
750-800 pounds brought almost 18.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls remained
steady to slightly higher on better quality. Several pairs and three in ones
came through the ring and brought 4500.00-4950.00 per pair.Trade was active and
demand was high on good quality cattle. Some fresh calves are coming to the
town early this year, taking advantage of a historic market. Weather is
beginning to cool down as we head into fall and rain is expected in the area
for most of the upcoming week.
