Compared to last week: Cattle continue to come in off of short wheat, and to a
good reception this week. Feeder steers weighing 800-850 brought up to 20.00
higher, with feeder heifers following suit. Steer calves, however, were
decidedly lower on a short test. There was no test on heifer calves. There were
few comparable sales on slaughter cattle but the sentiment seemed mix with a
stronger demand for average yielding boner cows. A selection of hard, seasoned
bulls came to town with the higher yielding, better type bulls bringing over
2.00.Trade was active with good demand on all classes.
