No comparable offerings from last week for a market comparison.
Demand was good to very good.
Many contacts are having a hard time finding cattle to buy in the county 
as several sellers have moved consignments to area video sales instead of 
waiting for the fall runs to market cattle.
Several strings of cattle on monthly video sales are selling for 100.00 
per cwt more than the same sale a year ago.
Unbelievable the buyer demand and the money one is having to spend on 
the first cost of bawling or weaned calves and yearlings to have a stake in the 
game of cattle feeding.
Many feeders feel like the cost of gain will be under a dollar.
But going into the winter is always a crap shoot on what the cost of 
gain may be due to the harsh winters that can prevail in the Northern Feedlots.
Negotiated cash feedlot trade ranged from 243.00 to 245.00 on a live 
basis and 380.00 to 385.00 on a dressed basis.
 
Supply included:  100% Feeder Cattle (100% Steers).
Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 100%.
Unless otherwise noted, Feeder Cattle prices FOB based on net weights 
after a 3% shrink or equivalent, with up to a 14 cent slide > 600 lbs.
