Direct trading was inactive in both reporting regions.
Auction markets continue to hold special feeder cattle sales and some 
would be directs have been showing up at these auctions.
Also, several cattle that usually go direct or sell on summer videos 
are now getting sold due to poor range conditions due to lack of moisture.
On the brighter side of the market, feedlot sales continue to go a little 
higher each week.
Where will they level off is anyone's guess in the cattle industry.
This week in Nebraska live sales traded 1.00 to 4.00 higher at 229.00 
and dress sales sold 3.00 higher at 358.00.
Some major packers are still out trying to purchase slaughter steers 
and heifers on Friday.
