Compared to last week: Slaughter steers and heifers 6.00 to 7.00 lower.
Moderate to good demand for this nice offering of high quality grading steers
and heifers. The market was not as active, but better than many expected
after the hard crash of the CME Live Cattle contracts the last 3 trading days.
Gains were made across all months of the board, plus boxed beef continues to
climb higher, these factors all helped to support the market at the auction.
Weighing conditions were ranged from fair to full. 11 full loads of steers, 5
full loads of heifers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads.
Slaughter lambs steady. Slaughter ewes 15.00 higher, except Good 2-3 steady.
Good demand for all weights of slaughter lambs, a few packages of feeder lambs
were met with good demand, very good demand for slaughter ewes.
