Compared to the sale a week ago, steers under 550 lbs. sold mostly 5.00 to
11.00 lower, while steers 550 lbs. and heavier sold 3.00 to 10.00 higher,
except the 650 to 700 lb. steers which sold 11.00 lower. Heifers sold sharply
higher. Demand was good today. Significant over-night rain brought a heavy
supply of cattle and included many smaller packages. Ten consignors brought
nearly 1,400 head.
