Compared to last week calves and feeder steers and heifers sold unevenly
steady. Slaughter steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows
sold unevenly steady and bulls sold 6.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good
throughout the week. Quite a few bawling and weaned fall calves hitting the
market this week, some with precondition shots. The calf and feeder market held
pretty well throughout the week as the CME cattle boards traded in the red
several days.
