Compared to the feeder calf auction one week ago, the lighter weight steer
calves were fully steady while 600 - 700 lb 10.00 to 14.00 higher and 700 - 800
lb cattle 4.00 to 7.00 higher. Heifer trade was influenced by several
consignments of high quality reputation replacement heifers; 600 - 700 lb
calves 15.00 to 19.00 higher. Demand was very good with active internet bidding
for today's moderate supply. The next scheduled feeder calf special auction is
Feb 19.
