Demand was good with several buyers looking for cattle to purchase.
With the southern borders shut down to imports this has made southern 
buyers come north to try and purchase cattle from auctions, videos and in the 
country from the Northern Plains.
Cattle prices jump almost every day in the real world as buyers shrug 
off the fluctuations on the CME cattle boards.
Some normal yearling cattle buyers feel like they have missed the boat 
and are starting to think about bawling spring calves as their next option to 
purchase to keep feedlot pens full.
Like a wise man once said, "we don't know if these cattle are too high 
yet, we haven't sold them to see if they make a profit or loss."   Area feedlot 
trade would be rather steady on the week, with live sales at 245.00 and dressed 
sales at 385.00 with a few up to 292.00.
 
Supply included:  100% Feeder Cattle (90.9% Steers, 9.1% Heifers).
Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 100%.
Unless otherwise noted, Feeder Cattle prices FOB based on net weights 
after a 3% shrink or equivalent, with a 10 cent slide > 600 lbs.
