Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 higher.
Demand was good on a moderate supply of replacement cattle and a light supply
of slaughter animals. The top slaughter bull sold for 227.00/cwt. and the top
slaughter cow sold for 186.00/cwt. Replacement animals outnumbered the
slaughter offering with the top pair selling for 4450.00 and the top bred cows
selling for 3675.00. Cooler temperatures and lower humidity were welcomed by
man and beast with some areas receiving substantial rainfall overnight.
