Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers 3.00-12.00 higher. Feeder heifers
475-550 lbs 5.00-15.00 higher with other weights steady. Slaughter cows steady.
Demand good to very good. Supply moderate. Some outstanding consignments again
but not quite the overall quality seen last week. One highlight of the feeders
was 54 head of unweaned steers with one round of modified live weighing 565 lbs
@ 414.00. Beef cutout values have been stronger so far this week. The Cattle
Report Feeder Meter currently estimates feedlot close outs at a whopping
$550.42 per head.
