Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves 30.00-40.00 lower. Quality plain
to average on weaned calves, unweaned calves average to attractive. Slaughter
cows 3.00-8.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 5.00 lower. Replacement cow demand
continues to be strong. CME Feeder Cattle futures were down the limit Friday
and Monday on back months. Much of the trading area has received beneficial
rainfall in the past week. Calves with the description Value-Added are unweaned
and fancy.
