Compared to last week: Lambs 50-70lbs, sharply higher on a light test from
last weeks showing; 70-80lbs, 3.00 lower; 80-90lbs, mostly steady; 90-110lbs,
3.00-5.00 lower. Slaughter Ewes were trending lower on comparable weights and
type. Very good demand for a nice offering of lambs at today's Annual
Replacement Ewe, Ewe Lamb and Feeder Lamb Special. Market activity was good,
with buyers on the internet and in the seats, including several new ones. A
very nice offering of replacement ewes sold on good demand after lunch, with
the stands packed with both buyers and producers. Replacement ewes have not
been well tested for a comparison as of yet. Heavy rains in the area made for
muddy conditions and many of the lambs were showing some tag. The next sale is
September 25, and will be a Feeder Lamb Special.
