SC Farm Report on Monday

   SC Livestock auctions will be closed for the holidays. Auctions will 
open after the new year.  
   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice.  Live FOB
steers 1,579 lbs at 229.33, heifers 1,371 lbs at 229.42.  Dressed 
delivered steers 1,024 lbs at 356.53, heifers 864 lbs at 357.58.  Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 356.12, down 
2.55 and Select 347.46, up 0.89.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs are 2.00- 3.00 higher and feeder pigs are mostly 6.00 higher. 
Trading moderate to active, with mostly moderate to good demand and 
moderate to heavy offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 72.51; 40 
lbs cash basis 93.07.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported. Sows 
live price 300-449 lbs were not reported.
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn bids were not trended; elevator bids 4.02-
5.17, processor bid 4.72-5.27. Soybean bids were not trended; elevator 
bids 9.09-20.54, export bid 10.83. Wheat bids were not trended; elevator 
bids 4.73. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 14 cents 
lower at 62.60.
