Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 lower and Holstein slaughter
steers were mostly steady. Slaughter heifers were 1.00 lower and Holstein
slaughter heifers were 7.00 higher. Slaughter cows were 10.00 lower based on a
limited comparison while Holstein slaughter cows were mostly steady.
Choice/prime slaughter lambs were in good demand this week with the holiday and
were 20.00-36.00 higher. No comparison available on slaughter kids due to a
limited comparison, but good demand was noted.
