FEEDER CATTLE 7435 4738 6400
Compared to last week: Feeder steers 10.00-15.00 lower except for 800-850lbs
4.00 lower. Feeder heifers over 700lbs 15.00-18.00 lower, under 700lbs 8.00
lower. Feeder heifer supply consisted mostly of light-weight heifers. Feeder
quality plain to average. Steer calves 10.00-15.00 lower. Heifer calves
10.00-20.00 lower. Quality mostly plain. Calf demand has eased with the arrival
of October, as concerns with overall health weigh on the market. Wheat accounts
were mostly inactive, on Tuesday, as farmers continue to be busy in the fields
and drying conditions have slowed wheat growth in some of the trading area.
Boxed beef, Choice, lost 45.00 in September.
