Montgomery County Livestock held their Sheep and Goat auction Thursday evening
with a moderate to heavy supply of lambs and goats. Slaughter lambs mostly
hair lambs bulk weighing 60-90 lbs sold 10.00-15.00 higher, spots 20.00 higher
than last month's sale. Slaughter ewes and feeder lambs all traded steady to
firm. There was a nice offering of replacement ewes mostly 3yrs to solid mouth
with one consignment to lamb in October all sold with good demand. Kid goats
sold with a firm undertone. Montgomery County holds their Sheep and Goat sale
the 2nd Thursday of each month. All prices are per cwt unless noted per
head/per unit.
