Compared to the last feeder sale two weeks ago, a light offering of steer
calves and yearlings were lightly tested but on a comparable sales traded
mostly 30.00-40.00 lower with feeder heifers selling mostly 20.00-30.00 lower
with the exception of a pot load of thin/green heifers weighing 618 lbs the
stick out sale of the day at 385.50. Demand was moderate to good on a
moderate supply. Feeder Cattle futures continue to liquidate on Tuesday with
Nov down 5.05, Jan down 9.55 and March feeders down 11.65 as uncertainty in the
cattle markets continue with any headline news looming in the back ground.
Slaughter cows on a light offering sold mostly steady.
