Compared to last Monday the feeder market was lower with an average quality
offering. Feeder steers and heifers were sharply lower across all weight
classes with a good supply and moderate demand. Continued negative pressure in
the futures market coupled with it being a holiday week limited buyers
interests and the premiums they were willing to pay today. Slaughter cows were
mostly steady with a good supply and slaughter bulls were 3.00 to 5.00 higher
with strong demand for higher yielding individuals.
