Compared to last Monday the feeder market was lower with a mixed quality
offering. Feeder steers and heifers were 3.00 to 10.00 lower or greater in
several spots with a good supply and moderate demand. Nasty weather conditions
and uncertainty in the futures market, coupled with varying quality differences
limited some buyers interest and the premiums they were willing to pay today.
Slaughter cows were 2.00 to 4.00 lower with a good supply and slaughter bulls
were 2.00 to 3.00 lower with moderate demand.
