Compared to last week steers and heifers over 800 lbs sold 5.00 to 10.00
higher. Not enough lighter cattle from two weeks ago for a market comparison.
However, a higher undertone was noted. Slaughter steers and heifers sold
steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. Demand was good
for calves and feeder cattle. Bulk of the receipts came from Creston livestock
annual Customer Appreciation BBQ sale. Where bidding was fast paced throughout
the day.
