Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers 3.00-10.00 lower with some
unweaned calves 15.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 450 lbs 10.00-20.00 lower,
over 450 lbs 3.00-10.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady. Demand moderate to good.
Supply moderate. Feeder futures closed down the 925 point limit on Tuesday
breaking the upward trend seen in feeder prices over the past several weeks.
Bawling calves will be getting harder to keep healthy with the warm days and
cool nights of fall upon us.
