Compared to the cattle auction 2 weeks ago, 500 - 600 lbs steer feeder calves
were 12.00 to 17.00 higher, 600 - 700 lbs calves were 14.00 to 22.00 higher
with no test on yearling steers. Heifer feeder calf trade today saw the market
mostly 10.00 to 23.00 higher with yearling heifer cattle 18.00 to 25.00 higher.
Many load lots of both reputation feeder calves and yearling heifers were
available today. Fancy replacement heifer from quality herds were also in
today's offering. Demand was very good for today's moderate supply. The next
scheduled feeder calf special in Dec 10th.
