Compared to last weeks sale; Steer calves 300-400 lbs sold 5.00-15.00 lower
while 400-450 lbs were 5.00 higher and 450-550 lbs sold 5.00-35.00 lower and
550-600 lbs were 8.00 higher. Steer yearlings 600-800 lbs sold 2.00-21.00
lower. Heifer calves 350-450 lbs were 17.00 lower, few instances 18.00 higher
with 450-500 lbs being 20.00 higher. Heifer calves 500-600 lbs were
18.00-38.00 lower. Feeder heifers 600-750 lbs sold 17.00-24.00 lower. Trade was
uneven with attention to weaning dates and vaccination programs being
recognized. Smaller numbers on a moderately uneven market. Slaughter cows sold
3.00 higher, instances 5.00 lower and slaughter bulls were 2.00 higher.
