Compared to last sale: (10/06/25) Feeder lambs under 80 lbs sold mostly
5.00-10.00 higher, lambs over 80 lbs sold 10.00-15.00 higher. Demand for feeder
lambs was mostly good for moderate to heavy offerings. Ethnic buyers showed
good demand for lambs to feed specifically for ethnic harvest. Demand was very
good for long strings of reputation lambs, while packages sold with light to
moderate demand. Demand did diminish as buyers filled loads and exited the
market. This led to wide price spreads in places. Ethnic demand was stronger
this sale than last sale. Demand for hair lambs was very good as several large
consignments of attractive quality hair lambs were seen this sale. Hair lambs
sold 15.00-30.00 higher than last sale on all weights. Other slaughter lambs
were too lightly tested last sale to develop any market trend. Market activity
was mostly active this sale with rapid bidding seen. Demand for slaughter ewes
was mostly moderate. Slaughter ewes sold 2.00-3.00 higher on good ewes. Utility
ewes sold mostly 5.00 higher. Slaughter kids sold generally steady to 15.00
higher. Demand for feeding goats continues to be very good. Feeding kids sold
steady to 15.00 higher. Kid quality was mostly average this week and similar to
last sale. Goat offerings were moderate to heavy.
