Compared to last report: (6/16/25) Feeder lambs under 80 lbs sold steady to
5.00 lower. 80-99 lbs lambs sold 5.00-10.00 lower, lambs over 100 lbs sold
mostly 5.00 higher. Demand for feeder lambs was mostly moderate to good. Demand
from ethnic buyers was lighter this sale as post holiday demand continues to
lighten Ethnic buyers tried to start loads early in the sale but were out bid
by traditional feeding buyers. Fewer ethnic buyers were in the stands this sale
compared to last sale. Very few lambs were purchased for slaughter this sale.
Slaughter lambs were too lightly tested to develop an accurate market trend,
however lower undertones were noticed. 80-89 lbs hair lambs offered the best
test for slaughter lambs and these offerings sold mostly 15.00 lower. Market
activity was mostly moderate to active this sale. Demand for slaughter ewes was
mostly moderate to good. Ethnic buyers opted to buy slaughter ewes this sale
and fill loads with lambs. Slaughter ewes sold mostly steady to 2.00 higher on
good ewes, Utility ewes sold 5.00-10.00 higher, cull ewes were not well tested.
Slaughter kids all sold 30.00-50.00. Fewer ethnic buyers allowed goat prices to
slide lower. Demand for slaughter goats was mostly light to moderate. Feeder
kids sold steady to 10.00 lower. Goat quality was mostly average this sale.
Goat offerings were moderate.
