Special Cow Sale scheduled for Saturday, December 27. Calves will sell
beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by the cow sale at 5:00 p.m.
Compared to last week, feeder cattle supply was light; however, demand remained
strong with good buyer attendance, closing the year on a firm note. On limited
receipts, feeder steers and heifers traded $10.00 to $20.00 higher, with the
most reliable test on 300-500 lb feeders. Receipts of 600-700 lb feeders were
very limited. Slaughter cows were met with stronger demand and sold $5.00 to
$10.00 higher.
