Compared to last week, with some gains in the cattle futures market giving way
today, 300-500 lb steers, heifers, and bulls traded $10.00 to $20.00 lower.
Steers and bulls weighing 500-700 lbs sold steady to $10.00 higher, while
feeder heifers were mostly steady. Demand was lighter for plainer-type cattle,
and slaughter cattle sold mostly steady.
