Compared to last week, feeder cattle sold with improved quality offerings on
heavier weights. Steers weighing 500-700 lbs traded $12.00 higher.
Lighter-weight steers saw reduced demand, trading $10.00-$15.00 lower due to
limited offerings of weaned calves. Feeder heifers traded $8.00-$10.00 higher
on the week. Demand remained strong for weaned calves, while unweaned calves
saw lighter buyer interest. Slaughter cattle sold mostly steady with last
week's market. Offerings were light on replacement cattle, with limited quality
available.
